France star Nicolas Anelka arrives in Mumbai

Frenchman Nicolas Anelka has landed in Mumbai today to join Hero Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC.

The former France international was welcomed by Mumbai City FC head coach Peter Reid, club COO Arunava Chaudhuri and other officials, besides a large crowd waiting outside the airport.

Anelka had a first interaction with the fans at the airport while signing autographs and taking pictures with them.

Mumbai City FC have managed to sign a strong squad including the likes of Freddie Ljungberg, Manuel Friedrich, Subrata Pal, Syed Rahim Nabi and Lalrindika Ralte.

Mumbai will kick-off their ISL season with an away game against Atlético de Kolkata on October 12.
