The Hero Indian Super League (ISL) has caught the attention of international media while the two leading German national TV channels ARD and ZDF visited India to get a first-hand impression of the happenings on the subcontinent.
The two TV channels aired their reports in their popular sports shows, the “Sportschau” (ARD) and the “ZDF SPORTreportage” (ZDF), on Saturday and Sunday.
Both TV teams had of course a special focus on former German international Manuel Friedrich who plays for Mumbai City FC in the Hero ISL. The experienced defender enjoys his time in India and Friedrich has realised that playing in India is a very special experience.
