Tolgay Ozbey nets hat-trick in Dempo win

Tolgay Ozbey netted a hat-trick as Dempo Sports Club overcame Sporting Clube de Goa 4-1 in a 36th Federation Cup 2015 match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Thursday. Dempo led 2-0 at the interval.

Ozbey opened the scoring after just eleven minutes to give Dempo the perfect start to the New Year.

Just before the interval, Dempo doubled their lead after Tolgay stroked home a penalty.

Eight minutes into the second half Tolgay won another penalty after going down very easily under a challenge from Joyner Lourenco. Tolgay stepped up to complete his hat-trick.

Sporting Goa pulled a goal back after Beevan D’Mello struck a beautiful left footed free kick straight into the back of the net.

In the closing stages Dempo’s Romeo Fernandes added further misery for the Flaming Oranje after placing in the fourth.
