Three-day course draws 30 coaches for Grassroots cause

A total of 90 children took part in the first All India Football Federation (AIFF) Grassroots Course organised by Marcos Quay Sporting Excellence Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai.

Apart from the 90 children who participated in practical sessions as well as the festivals conducted, around 30 coaches also attended the three-day course from January 2 till January 4. The Instructor for the Course was AIFF’s Anju Turambekar.

The Grassroots Course was held at SVKM, Shirpur, Dhule (Maharashtra).

Marcos Quay’s Head Coach Pramod Brid attended the entire course and said: “We thank All India Football Federation for giving us opportunity to organise the course and we all understood the Grassroots aim, philosophy, objective and so on.”

“We had best practices during this course. We all look forward to train our kids under AIFF Grassroots philosophy.”

“It is an excellent start to 2015 with the group of good potential coaches from Marcos Quay. From the first day to last day I noticed the coaches undergoing significant changes in terms of their approach towards Grassroots development, coaching style and organisation of the session. I commend their efforts. We (AIFF) are gearing up for more of such courses this year,” AIFF’s Anju added.
