Indian national team captain Sunil Chhetri casted his FIFA Ballon D’Or vote in favour of Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Chhetri put Neuer at the top of his list, while he named Germany star Thomas Müller as his second choice and FIFA Ballon D’Or 2014 winner Cristiano Ronaldo on third.
Indian national team assistant coach Savio Medeira was also asked to cast his votes in the absence of a new national team head coach. Medeira selected Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller.
Indian Women’s national team captain Oinam Bembem Devi named Abby Wambach (1st), Nahomi Kawasumi (2nd) and Aya Miyama (3rd) in the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year category, while Indian Women’s national team coach Tarun Roy casted his vote for Aya Miyama ahead of Nadine Angerer and Abby Wambach.
