First-ever AIFF Grassroots Course held in Odisha

The first ever AIFF Grassroots Course programme was inaugurated at the OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

Bijoy Das (Vice President, FAO) was present as the chief Guest. Bhakta Ballav Das (Vice President, FAO), Avijit Paul (Jt. Secretary, FAO) and other dignitaries were also present during the inaugural ceremony.

A total of 27 participants took part in the aforementioned course conducted by AIFF Grassroots Instructor Anju Turambekar.

A Grassroots Festival was organised in which more than 120 kids participated and also witnessed the Odisha Women’s Team and Odisha Santosh Trophy State Team along with their coaches attending the event on the last day and during the closing ceremony.

Sanjay Behera (Hon’y Secretary, FAO) staeted that the Football Association of Odisha (FAO) is going to open at least six Grassroots centres very soon.

Behera also thanked the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for this novel attempt for the grassroots development in the country and for providing best knowledge to the coaches.
