Football Association of Odisha celebrates AFC Women’s Football Day

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) celebrated the AFC Women’s Football Day on Sunday (March 8).

Around 50 female footballers participated in a Football Festival organized by the Football Association of Odisha which kicked-off at 15.00 IST. Gitanjali Khuntia (AFC C License Coach & Grassroots Coach), Sudipta Das, Bishnu Priya Das, Chitrambada Patra (National Women’s Referees), Banishree Chintak (P.E.T., St. Xaviers High School) were also present during the Festival.

The Festival concluded with a special function at the OCA Conference Hall in Cuttack. Anita Behera (Mayor, Cuttack) was present as the Chief Guest, while some senior Women Football Players and Women Referees and Women Coaches were felicitated.

Other dignitaries who were present in the closing ceremony were Avijit Paul (Joint Secretary, FAO) and Sangita Sharma (Joint Secretary, FAO).
