India move up 26 spots in latest FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has moved up 26 spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today.

India is now ranked 147th in the world and 24th in Asia with 161 points to its name. Stephen Constantine’s team is ranked behind the Central African Republic, Lebanon and New Zealand who share the 144th rank, while Curaçao (148th) claims the spot behind India.

Afghanistan (135th) tops the list of national teams from the South Asian (SAFF) region, ahead of the Maldives (141st), India, Bhutan (163rd), Bangladesh (167th), Pakistan (172nd), Nepal (181st) and Sri Lanka (186th).

World Champions Germany remain the unchanged leader in the FIFA World Ranking. Argentina (2nd), Belgium (3rd), Colombia (4th) and Brazil (5th) complete the Top 5.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on May 7.
