Sporting Clube de Goa claim 2-0 win against Bharat FC

Sporting Clube de Goa defeated Bharat FC 2-0 in an I-League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Saturday. Sporting Goa led 1-0 at the interval.

Sporting Goa took the lead just before the breather when Brandon Fernandes curled a spectacular free kick from 25 yards out into the top corner of the net.

After resumption, the Flaming Oranje continued on a positive note. It took Sporting Goa just six minutes to double their lead when Pratesh Shirodkar smashed the ball into the back of the net from close range.

Sporting Clube de Goa playmaker Brandon Fernandes was awarded the Hero of the Match award for his splendid display.
