Club Anthem inspires 2015-16 Manchester City Away Kit

Manchester City’s new away kit honors its passionate legion of fans, who proudly sing the club’s celestial-inspired anthem, with a lunar print on both sleeves.

The moon graphic, which appears in tonal blue hues, combines with the shirt’s navy blue body, subtly contrasting sleeves and shoulders, and electric blue detailing — a modern take on Manchester City’s iconic sky blue.

The signature blue trims the back of the lightweight crewneck collar and adorns the flanks of the shirt and shorts as a slim stripe.

The kit was hand-delivered to Manchester City players by Nike Football App user Louie Joyce, who was selected to present the kit after taking part in the behind-the-scenes home kit shoot at the City Football Academy. Joyce traveled to Australia to meet the squad during their pre-season tour.

The team debuts the kit today, July 24, in Melbourne, Australia, in front of nearly 100,000 fans.

The new Manchester City away kit is available starting August 5 at nike.com, mcfc.co.uk and select retailers.

A proud symbol of club heritage, the new kit is also progressive. It offers the latest in Nike performance innovation, fabric technology, moisture management and environmental sustainability.
