India U-16 boys begin training in Germany

The India U-16 National Team preparing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in India are presently on an extensive two-month tour to Germany.

The 24-member squad which left the Indian shores on July 21 would be playing a minimum of 15 practice matches including ones against youth teams of Bayern Munich and RB Salzburg before proceeding to Tabriz City in Iran to participate in the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers in September 2015.

The AIFF Academy boys being coached by Nicolai Adam on Wednesday went through a series of agility and endurance tests under the supervision of Dr. Reiner Foehrenbach. Sprints, jump tests, lactate tests and other tests were also conducted on the boys.

The boys would also be competing in the AGS Cup in Spain after completing their engagements in the AFC U-16 Qualifiers.
