FA Odisha inaugurates 2nd Grassroots Football Centre in Sundargarh

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has inaugurated its 2nd Grassroots Football Centre during an opening ceremony at the Sundargarh Stadium in Sundargarh on Saturday afternoon.

The dignitaries who were present at the opening ceremony were Bhupinder Singh Poonia (Collector & DM, Sundargarh), Durga Madhab Naik (Hon’y Secretary, DAA Sundargarh) and Durga Prasad Swain (Grassroots Development Officer, FAO).

A total of 30 kids – boys and girls – will be trained at the Grassroots Football Centre in Sundargarh regularly in accordance with the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Grassroots Football Development Programme. Sanjukta Tirkey and Seema Tirkey have been appointed as the Coaches for the 2nd Grassroots Football Centre in the state.

The Grassroots Football Centre is operated by DAA Sundargarh in association with the Football Association of Odisha.
