The India U-16 national team, currently on an exposure trip to Germany, defeated FC Ingolstadt 04 U-16 1-0 on Wednesday (August 26, 2015), in attendance of the AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das, at the DFI Ground in Germany.

Following close on the heels of a 4-0 win against SV Wacker Burghausen on August 22, 2015, the Indian colts started the match on a positive note.

Two forty five minutes halves comprised the match and albeit a goalless first half saw both teams entwine in a battle to gain advantage, it was the Indian team which opened the goal scoring tally of the match in the 46th minute.

A well-worked move by the India U-16 team, which saw Aniket release a beautiful through ball, was done sheer justice by Aman’s effort on the goal giving the colts a lead early into the second half.

The Indian team thwarted the opposition’ attack and registered a solitary goal win over the German club.

Furthermore, the Indian 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup bound squad will also touch Iranian shores in the month of September to play in the AFC U-16 Qualifiers, which are slated to kick-off in Tabriz City.
