AIFF D License Instructors Course held in Goa

Over 28 participants from 15 States took part in the AIFF D Licence Instructors Course in Goa. The Course was conducted by AIFF Technical Director Scott O’Donnell and was organised and hosted by the Goa Football Association (GFA).

The President of Goa Football Association, Elvis Gomes handed out participation certificates to the candidates, in the presence of O’Donell and India U-23 Coach Savio Madeira. Gomes, in his address to the participants, talked about the need for more D License Courses and more D License instructors. “The Course is one of the key elements of our coach education programme, and we hope to have a lot of D License Instructors because trained coaches is the need of the hour in a country as big as India,” said Gomes.

O’Donnell, a Pro-Licence holder himself, stressed on the significance of the Course. “Nowadays, it’s compulsory for participants to undergo the AIFF D Licence before they can apply for the AFC C Certificate,” O’Donnell informed. “The State FA’s having their own Instructors will make it easier for them to conduct their own AIFF D Licence Courses without having to ask for instructors from other States,” he stated.

Successful candidates will become AIFF D License Instructors, and will become eligible to conduct AIFF D License Courses all over India.

The Course was coordinated by GFA Official Anthony Lobo.
