AIFF’s TD Scott O’Donell visits National Institute Of Sports Patiala

As part of the Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), AIFF’s Technical Director Scott O’Donell visited the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala on Thursday (September 10, 2015) to streamline the Coach Education curricula, which aims to benefit not only the students in NIS, but several other young footballers who are currently being trained by the NIS Coaches.

The MoU signed between AIFF and SAI in June 2015 envisaged Coach Education as one of the four pillars of cooperation between the two entities.

Appreciating the eagerness of the NIS Staff to work hand-in-hand with the AIFF towards a single goal of developing Indian football, AIFF’s Technical Director said, “We appreciate the zeal of the NIS Staff to work in coordination with us (AIFF).”

“The Reach of the NIS Coaches throughout the nation will greatly help Indian football.”

“We also plan to introduce basic license course for all NIS students undergoing a twelve month Diploma Course in NIS”, informed O’Donell.

“This will help us to identify and develop talent in a uniform and consistent manner”, he concluded.
