As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) to conduct AIFF and AFC Coaching Courses for the graduates of the National Institute of Sports (NIS), the AIFF conducted an AIFF D License Course from October 19-24, 2015 at the National Institute of Sports in Patiala.

30 NIS students participated in the Course which was conducted by AIFF’s Technical Director Scott O’Donell.

“You need good coaches to produce good players and therefore it is imperative to educate coaches in order for them to develop”, O’Donell told AIFF Media.

“The MoU provides us with a unique opportunity to educate and develop more coaches in various parts of India.”

“I was elated to see the enthusiasm by the participants and their passion for the game and I wish them luck for their coaching careers ahead,” O’Donell added.

Furthermore, all NIS graduates will undertake an AIFF D License Course and an AFC C Certificate Course as part of their curriculum, which provides them with an option to work in clubs across India.
