Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has arrived in India to inaugurate the Nagjee International Club Football Tournament scheduled to take place in Kozhikode, Kerala from February 5 to 21, 2016.
The 2002 FIFA World Cup winner arrived at the Karipur International Airport on Sunday, while thousands of fans gathered at the airport to receive the star footballer.
Ronaldinho is the brand ambassador of the Nagjee International Club Football Tournament, which had its first highlight during the inaugural function on Sunday evening.
Seven foreign teams have reportedly confirmed their participation in the tournament. The teams expected to take part in the 36th edition of the tournament are the Argentina U-23 national team, Clube Atlético Paranaense U-23 (Brazil), FC Rapid București (Romania), Hertha BSC U-23 (Germany), Levante UD U-23 (Spain), TSV 1860 Munich U-23 (Germany) and Watford FC U-23 (England).
