Mumbai’s PIFA have arrived on Champions Tour in Germany

Mumbai’s Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) landed earlier today in Düsseldorf, Germany for their first Champions Tour of 2016 in the country of the current FIFA World Cup winners.

The 10 travelling PIFA kids will stay for the next three days in the city of Remscheid, where on Sunday they will participate in a 14 team Under-15 tournament as part of the “Internationales Sparkassen Pfingstfussballturnier” of the SG Hackenberg, which is held for kids across different age groups.

After the Remscheid stay, the PIFA contingent will move to Dortmund and from Wednesday onwards they will train for five days with the Football School of German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. The BVB Evonik Fussballschule is a programme from Borussia Dortmund, which allows children to learn the BVB way at the former training ground of the clubs first team, Rote Erde Trainingsplatz next to the clubs impressive 80,000+ capacity Signal Iduna Park ground.

For PIFA this is the first-ever Champions Tour stop in Germany and they all look forward to the nine upcoming days.
