Mohammedan Sporting sign Ivorian forward Leonce Dodoz

Mohammedan Sporting Club have completed the signing of Ivorian forward Leonce Dodoz. Having retained his fellow countryman Lancine Toure earlier, Dodoz is the second foreign singing made by the Black Panthers ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Born in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, the 27-year-old started his career at Ivorian top tier club JC Abidjan, before moving to Nepalese outfit Friends Club in 2012. Dodoz joined Three Star Club next season, and won the Nepal Football League in his debut season with the club. In 2014 Dodoz switched allegiance to another Nepalese outfit in Manang Marshyangdi Club. Dodoz also has the experience of playing in the V-League of Vietnam.

More recently, Dodoz has played for Gangtok Himalayan SC in the recently concluded Second Division League. Playing for Gangtok Himalayan, Dodoz showed excellent form and finished as their top scorer in the final round of the Second Division League, which includes three goals against Mohammedan SC in both legs.

Dodoz will don jersey number 9 at the club.

Meanwhile, midfielder Manjit Singh, who joined Mohammedan Sporting from Minerva Academy FC, and Dipendu Dowary have started practice from today at Mohammedan Sporting Club ground.
