The All India Football Federation took the initiative of sending two instructors C.R. Singh and Supriya Bhattacharya to conduct both theory and practical training sessions that were from 9am to 5:30pm everyday till Saturday, July 2.

The 50 trainees attending this course comprise of representatives from every district. Referee Instructor C.R. Singh stated at the function that the AIFF is planning to take the Referee Development Course to a new level and that Mizoram is one of the states that the AIFF favours to have desired results. He also added that as before in the previous Referee Development Courses, trainees will get our best efforts from the instructors and the trainees themselves will have to exhibit utmost dedication and perseverance so as to learn and progress from this course.

The chief guest R. Vanlalvena, a Member of Legislative Assembly also addressed the trainees to be determined to succeed; and that we want our Mizo referees to reach international levels, to be able to watch matches enforced by our people. And since it is easier to fail than to succeed, we need to be industrious and studious. And he also wished success to all the trainees.
