Sunil Chhetri returns to Mumbai City FC for ISL Season 3

Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Mumbai City FC have officially confirmed the re-signing of India and Bengaluru FC star striker Sunil Chhetri for Season 3 of the league.

Sunil was already an important member of the Mumbai City squad last season when he finished the season as their top scorer with seven goals. He was signed by the club in the ISL Season 2 Auction & Draft for Rs. 1.2 crores, making him the most expensive Indian player at the auctions.

“Mumbai, first of all thank you lots for all the love and support that we received against Puerto Rico. I’m pretty happy to announce that in this upcoming season of Hero ISL 2016, I’ll be donning the Mumbai City FC jersey again,” Sunil announced via Twitter.

“I’m really excited and looking forward to it,” the four-time AIFF Player of the Year concluded.
