The East Bengal Club Under-16 boys defeated Mohammedan Sporting Club Under-16 boys 3-2 in close encounter in Round 4 of the Kolkata Zonal Round clash of the AIFF U-16 Youth League at the Mohammedan Sporting ground on Sunday afternoon.
For East Bengal, Bikash Singh, Swapan Chore and Sarthak Basu were on target while Mohammed Giasuddin and Surajuddin Munshi pulled a couple of goals back for the hosts.
East Bengal’s Swapan Chore was declared man of the match and he received a trophy along with a cash award of Rs 1,000 from former Mohammedan Sporting footballer Aslam Parvez and Abdul Sattar, vice-president of the Mohammedan Sporting Fans Club.
