DFB-Pokal 1st Round draw conducted at Deutsches Fußballmuseum

The draw for the first round of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) 2017/18 was held on Sunday evening at the Deutsches Fußballmuseum in Dortmund. DFB president Reinhard Grindel and former Germany international Sebastian Kehl carried out the draw.

Defending champions Borussia Dortmund travel to 6th Division side 1. FC Rielasingen-Arlen, while record champions FC Bayern Munich have to travel to the east to 3rd Division side Chemnitzer FC.

The matches would be played from Friday to Monday, August 11 to 14 across the country with the amateur clubs looking to welcome their more established opponents.

The draw ceremony was broadcasted live by German national tv channel ARD in their show Sportschau. Alexander Bommes and Julia Scharf were the hosts of the live broadcast.
