Mohammedan Sporting Club inaugurates its own “Muhammad Ali Gymnasium”

The Youth Development Committee of Mohammedan Sporting Club organised an Iftar party at the Mohammedan Sporting Club Tent on Saturday evening.

The occasion was graced by Latifuddin Najam, recipient of the 2017 Shan-e-Mohammedan Lifetime Achievement Award, alongside Mohammedan Sporting Club President Sultan Ahmed, General Secretary Ghazal uz Zafar, Assistant General Secretary Ishtiaque Ahmed, Ground Secretary Mohammed Qamaruddin, Chairman of Technical Committee Dipendu Biswas, Team Manager Belal Ahmed Khan and other executive committee members.

Also present on the occassion were Sharique Ahmed, Chairman of Youth Development Committee, Hasnain Ahmed, Vice-Chairman of Youth Development Committee.

Before the Iftar party, Mohammedan Sporting Club inaugurated the “Muhammad Ali Gymnasium” in honor of the boxing great Muhammad Ali. Thus, the 126-year-old club became the only second club in Kolkata Maidan to have it’s own gymnasium.

The gymnasium was inaugurated by Latifuddin and Sultan Ahmed beside other club officials.

Meanwhile, Mohammedan Sporting Club Fans Club took this opportunity to also facilitate Latifuddin.
