Mizoram legend Shylo Malswamtluanga joins I-League champions Aizawl FC

I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced the signing of the Mizoram football legend Shylo Malswamtluanga, popularly known as Mama, for the 2017/18 season. Mama has been the pride of Mizoram and the Mizos all over the world since he started his football career.

The 32 year old star Tata Football Academy product joined East Bengal Club in 2002 and then went on to play for big clubs like Mohun Bagan AC, Salgoacar FC, Delhi Dynamos FC and more. He has also represented the Indian national team.

“Let your vast experiences at national and continental levels be a big blessing for your Home Club and supporters accross the globe. All the best. Welcome Mama to the People’s Club, and all the best.” the defending I-League champions stated in an official club release.

Shylo Malswamtluanga finally returns home and will play top level football in his home state of Mizoram for the first time in his career.
