DFB-Pokal (German Cup)
The draw for the second round of the 2017/18 DFB-Pokal (German Cup) was held at the Deutsche Fußballmuseum in Dortmund on Sunday afternoon. The draw was carried out by Germany U-21 coach Stefan Kuntz and comedian Carolin Kebekus. The draw ceremony was broadcasted live on German national tv channel ARD in their show Sportschau with Alexander Bommes and Julia Scharf hosting the broadcast.
Defending champions Borussia Dortmund travel to 3rd Division side 1. FC Magdeburg, while record champions FC Bayern Munich travel to Bundesliga runners-up RB Leipzig in the top clash of Round 2.
The matches would be played on October 24 and 25 across the country with the amateur clubs looking to welcome their more established opponents. The matches will kick-off at 18.30 CET and 20.30 CET. The final schedule will be released later.
