FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 – Matchday 5 – Round-up

The FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 returned to action on Tuesday with matches in Group C and Group D.

A dominant Guinea held Costa Rica to a 2-2 draw in a Group C encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, while Germany suffered a 4-0 defeat to Iran in the second game of the group. Iran have secured their spot in the Round of 16 with the win.

Meanwhile, Spain came to life against Niger in a 4-0 victory at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, whileBrazil  go through to knockout stages with their 2-0 win against Korea DPR.

The tournament will continue on Wednesday with interesting matches in Group E (France v Japan / Honduras v New Caledonia) and Group F (England v Mexico / Iraq v Chile).
