FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 – Matchday 8 – Round-up

Iran recorded their third straight win the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 to top Group C. Mohammad Ghobeishavi, Taha Shariati and Mohammad Sardari were the goal scorers in Team Melli’s 3-0 win against the Central Americans.

Germany got past a strong Guinea side 3-1 in the second Group C match of the day to secure their place in the Round of 16. Jann-Fiete Arp opened the score sheet for the Germans, but Ibrahima Soumah levelled the score line. Nicolas Kühn and Sahverdi Cetin found the back of the net in the second half to take Germany to the knockout stages.

Spain ended up on six points in Group D as La Rojita defeated Korea DPR 2-0. Mohamed Moukhliss and Cesar Gelabert secured the Spaniards three points against a dogged Korea DPR side.

Brazil won Group D after their 2-0 victory over Niger at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa. First-half goals from Lincoln and Brenner were enough for the South Americans to be get the better end in their final group stage match.
