Spain and Brazil have won their FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 quarter-final matches to advance to the semi-finals.
Abel Ruiz, Sergio Gomez and Ferran Torres scored the goals for “La Rojita” in their 3-1 victory over Iran at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Spain dominated proceedings from the kick-off, while Iran were just able to reduce the margin through Saeid Karimi.
Meanwhile, a total of 66,613 fans witnessed a mouth-watering and entertaining clash of two football heavyweights at the Saltlake Stadium in Kolkata, as Germany and Brazil faced each other in the second match of the day.
Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp gave Germany the lead with a first-half penalty, but goals by Weverson and Paulinho led Brazil to semi-final versus England.
