FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 – Matchday 15 – Round-up

England and Spain made light work of their opponents in the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 semi-finals on Wednesday.

A hat-trick from Rhian Brewster secured the Young Lions a 3-1 victory over Brazil in front of 63,881 fans at the Saltlake Stadium in Kolkata. Brewster opened the score sheet in the 10th minute, while Wesley equalised eleven minutes later. England proved to strong for the Seleção as Brewster put his side back into the lead moments before the breather.  The Liverpool FC youngster added a third goal in the second half to secure England their place in the final.

Two goals from Abel Ruiz and another courtesy of Ferran Torres were enough for 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship winners Spain to set up a clash against England in the final. Spain registered a 3-1 win over Mali at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 final will take place at Kolkata’s Saltlake Stadium on Saturday. The 3rd place match will be also played at the same venue hours before the final.
