DFB-Pokal Round of 16 draw ceremony to take place at Deutsches Fußballmuseum

The draw for the Round of 16 of the 2017/18 DFB-Pokal (German Cup) will be held at the Deutsches Fußballmuseum in Dortmund on Sunday afternoon. The draw will be carried out by former Germany and Bayern Munich star Stefan Effenberg. DFB (German FA) vice-president Peter Frymuth will be in charge of the draw procedures.

Defending champions Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich and 14 other teams managed to advance to the Round of 16 and they will be hoping for a draw in their favour. The Round of 16 matches are scheduled to take place on December 19 and 20.

Meanwhile, the draw for the Round of 16 of the Women’s DFB-Pokal will be also conducted during the live event in Dortmund. Top teams such as VfL Wolfsburg, FC Bayern Munich and Turbine Potsdam await their draw for the Round of 16 matches which will be played on December 3.

The draw ceremony will be broadcasted live on German national tv channel ARD in their show Sportschau with Julia Scharf hosting the broadcast.
