#SayNoToRacism: Racism and harassment have no place in football

Racism and harassment have no place in football and in our society! I strongly condemn the behaviour of two so-called “fans” who harassed female supporters of NorthEast United FC during the Indian Super League (ISL) game Chennaiyin FC v NorthEast United FC. It is an unacceptable and disgraceful behaviour.

Furthermore it is a shock to realise that none of the other fans intervened to stop the unacceptable behaviour!
Nobody has the right to mock people due to their skin colour, ethnicity, social background, religion or any other reason!

I appeal to each and every one of you to show courage and intervene if you witness a case of racism and harassment – not only in a football stadium, but in our everyday world!
