Grassroots Leasers Course held in Bengaluru

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with the Boca Juniors Football School conducted a Grassroots Leaders Course from November 27-30, 2017 in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Twenty three participants from across the state participated in the course which was delivered by AIFF Grassroots Instructor Shailesh Karkera along with AIFF Observer Anju Turambekar.

The Course was engineered to tutor the participants in AIFF’s Grassroots philosophy in tune with FIFA and the AFC’s Grassroots philosophy.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has lately revamped the definition of Grassroots Football characterizing it as all football which is Non-Professional / Non-Elite including children’s football, school football, Futsal, beach football, women’s football, veterans football, community football, amateur football and football for the disabled.

The course concluded with a Grassroots Football Festival conducted by the course participants involving fifty U-10 and U-12 kids.
