Chennaiyin FC U-13s blank Oyyabo Sports 18-0 in U-13 Youth League

The Chennaiyin FC U-13 team continued its goal-scoring frenzy in the U-13 Youth League with a whopping 18-0 victory over Oyyabo Sports at the SSN College Ground today. K. Surya and Mohd. Liyaakath stood out with six and five goals respectively, in what was the first meeting of the season between both sides.

The CFC U13 boys began this tie fresh from a 12-0 thumping of RV Soccer School in their previous outing. The colts picked up from where they left off, with K. Surya netting a quick-fire first-half hat-trick after Allen Raj had scored the opening goal. Caron Kennedy then made it 5-0 from the penalty spot, before Mohd. Liyaakath scored two goals with a strike from E. Guhan sandwiched in between, making it 8-0 to the hosts in blue. The first-half ended with yet another flurry of goals, with Naresh Kumar, Allen Raj and K. Surya adding to the tally. The scoreline read 11-0 at half-time.

The second period saw the CFC U13s take their domination further, with Liyaakath scoring a hat-trick of goals either side of K. Surya’s second-half double. With the score now 16-0, it was time for the reinforcements Teejeshwar and Arulesh to grab a goal apiece. The match ended at 18-0 with Oyyabo Sports having been absolutely blown away.

With a maximum of 15 points from their 5 games, and topping the table, the next match for the rampant CFC U13s sees them square off against Mahogany FC at the SSN College Ground a week later on December 30, at 15.00 IST.
