AFC reiterates stance on fulfilling media obligations

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has reminded all Member Associations with clubs and national teams competing in the AFC’s competitions in 2018 that they are required to fulfil their media obligations.

The AFC wrote to all Member Associations requesting their co-operation in fulfilling the AFC’s obligations to commercial and broadcast partners with regard to media activities, including pre- and post-match interviews and post-match flash interviews.

Any cases of non-compliance may result in disciplinary proceedings against both the Member Association/club and the individual involved under the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code.

The AFC also stressed the stance, under the AFC Statutes, of political neutrality and this includes the media activities at all AFC Competitions.
