Mohammedan Sporting beat CKP to advance into Steel Express Cup semis

Mohammedan Sporting Club beat South Eastern Railway Sports Association (CKP) 2-1 on Monday to advance to the semi-finals of the 27th Steel Express Football Tournament in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand. The Black Panthers are participating in the competiton as a part of their preparations for upcoming 2017/18 Second Division League.

After a barren first-half at the Iqbal Singh Sandhu Stadium, Lalmohan Hansda’s 65th minute strike put the home side ahead.

However, Cho Lepcha (87th) and Jiten Murmu (89th) scored two quick goals at the death to settle the issue for the Black Panthers.

Mohammedan Sporting Club will play the semi-final against Metro Railway on Sunday (25th Februray 2018).
