Dempo SC organise Grassroots Festival for Sanjay School Porvorim

Dempo SC successfully conducted Grassroots Festival for the students of Sanjay School Porvorim, a school with special needs.

The festival kicked off at the newly opened football academy ground at Ella, Old Goa. More than 120 kids- boys and girls – participating in the festival. The kids were divided into 10 teams and played different types of games such as line games, 5 v 5, triangle game, 4 goals game, 2 goals game and 6 goals game which lasted for about two hours.

The program was well organised by Grassroots Coordinators Alexander Fernandes and Antonio Pereira, and were assisted by the entire Dempo SC Youth Development coaches and managers. Dempo SC Youth Development – Technical Director Mr. Karnagaran Naidoo welcomed all the participants to the festival. He emphasised that the event was in keeping with the Dempo tradition of serving the Goan society and community at large,

He reiterated that football is inclusive irrespective of one’s psychological and physical status. All participants received merchandise from Dempo SC. Dempo SC Grassroots Coordinator for North Goa Alexander Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks and thanked the Sanjay School management for allowing the students to participate in the festival.
