Poland stand India to win 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup bid

The FIFA Council has decided to award the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup hosting rights to Poland. The decision was made at a FIFA Council meeting in Bogotá, Colombia on Friday.

India had officially submitted its bid for the U-20 FIFA World Cup after successully hosting a record-breaking FIFA U-17 World Cup in October 2017.

The FIFA Council reviewed the bids of India and the only other contestant Poland during its meeting in the Colombian capital and came to the conclusion that Poland will be the ideal host for the 22nd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
