I am heavily saddened to hear that the FIFA certified football pitch at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi will be removed to host an One Day International cricket match between India and the West Indies. I would like to urge all involved authorities and cricket lovers, with due respect, to reconsider their plans and to shift the ODI to another venue. A lot of money has been spent to create a quality pitch in Kochi. Don’t vandalise the same. There is enough space for coexistence. #SaveKochiTurf.
