India drops two spots in latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking

India dropped two spots in the latest edition of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking released by the governing body of world football on Friday.

The Indian Women’s national team is now ranked a joint 59th in the world together with Peru and Israel, while they obtain the 13th rank in Asia.

The United States top the first FIFA Women’s World Ranking of 2018, while Germany’s disappointing showing at the SheBelieves Cup sees them fall out of the top two for the first time since June 2009. England moved up in the ranking to achieve the 2nd rank for the first time.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be published on June 22, 2018.
