Indian Women’s League champions Rising Students Club return to Odisha

The new 2018 Indian Women’s League (IWL) champions Rising Students Club returned on Monday, April 16 morning to a grand reception at the Biju Patnaik airport in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Cuttack-based Rising Students Club had beaten defending champions Eastern Sporting Union of Manipur in the final on penalties at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Saturday, April 13.

At the airport the Rising Students Club contingent were welcomed by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO) vice-president Bhakta Ballav Das, FAO joint-secretary Sangeeta Sharma, local women’s coaches Sradhanjali Samantray and Gitanjali Khuntia besides Sunil Mitra and Sibu Prakash Ghosh.
