SGS Essen registered a 3-1 win against 1. FFC Frankfurt in a Women’s Bundesliga (Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga) match on Sunday (May 27).

The visitors from Frankfurt took an early lead when Margarita Gidion put the ball past Essen’s goalkeeper Lisa Weiß in the 15th minute. But Essen levelled the score line within five minutes as Germany international Linda Dallmann found the back of the net.

Both sides went to the lemon break with a 1-1 draw and they had to bear with a 90 minutes delay for the second half due to heavy rainfalls at the “Sportpark am Hallo” in Essen.

Dallmann turned out to be the player of the match with two more sensational goals in the second half, which helped SGS Essen to secure a 3-1 win against 1. FFC Frankfurt in front of 1,275 fans.
