Japan head coach Akira Nishino announce FIFA World Cup squad

Japan head coach Akira Nishino announced a 23-member Japan squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Russia 2018.

Experienced midfielders Keisuke Honda (31) and Shinji Kagawa (29) head the “Samurai Blue” squad, which will face Colombia (June 19), Senegal (June 24) and Poland (June 28) in Group H.

Japan will face Switzerland (June 8) and Paraguay (June 12) in their final preparation matches ahead of the World Cup finals in Russia.
