India stay 97th in FIFA World Ranking, Germany retain top spot

The latest FIFA World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the June rankings, India remain in 97th position behind Georgia, but ahead of Qatar; while Germany stay top.

India have 350 points, four less than last month and they move up a spot in 14th position of the Asian (AFC) rankings.

India are currently hosting the Hero Intercontinental Cup, while their next matches would be in the fall FIFA match dates.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Afghanistan (145th), Maldives (150th), Nepal (161st), Bhutan (183rd), Bangladesh (194th), Sri Lanka (200th) and Pakistan (201th) in what was another mixed month for the region.

There were no changes in the top 5. FIFA World Cup winners and FIFA Confederations Cup champions Germany (1,533 pts) stay top ahead of Brazil (1,384 points), Belgium (1,346 points), Portugal (1,306 pts) and Argentina (1,254 pts), who complete the top five.
