Director of TATA Sports Excellence Centre visits Kashmir

The Director of the TATA Sports Excellence Centre visited Kashmir to explore opportunities of mutual interest with the State Football Academy of the J&K State Sports Council.

The Director of the TATA Sports Excellence Centre and his team arrives in Kashmir for a three day tour in order to explore various opportunities and possibilities of future collaboration with the State Football Academy of J&K State Sports Council for the development of sports in the state.

The TATA Sports Excellence Centre in collaboration with the J&K Sports council is intending to host a four day program in September this year. The program namely Goal for Girls will primarily focus on imparting life skills and leadership qualities in girls in the age group of 13 to 18 years.

Further, they will be visiting various districts wherein they will explore and look after the opportunities for helping in promoting the sports culture.

The team interacted with almost 500 aspiring sportspersons at football grounds in Srinagar, Bandipora and Baramulla and had discussions on various aspects of improvement in various sports disciplines.

The Tata team will make a report on the latest developments and will help the Sports Council in various aspects in terms of sports exchange programs, sports training, sports infrastructure development and others.
