BVB appoint Sebastian Kehl as Head of the Licensed Player Department

Borussia Dortmund have appointed their former captain Sebastian Kehl as the new Head of the Licensed Player Department.

The 38 year old ex-Germany midfielder wil be responsible for the overall organisation of the licensed player segment of the club.

Kehl is looking forward to the new assignment and he wants to “recreate that Dortmund feeling”. “Dortmund is a city of workers. This club is something unique. It is very important that the players identify with this club. Discipline, respect, and a down-to-earth attitude are virtues of BVB,” Kehl stated.

He expects the professional players to show “great willingness so as to develop a performance culture once again, and to significantly improve the relationship with the fans.”

Kehl’s appointment is part of BVB’s restructuring strategy to meet the challenges of modern day football with a clear approach and unambiguous targets.
