Luis Enrique appointed new Spain national team head coach

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF Real Federación Española de Fútbol) has announced the appointment of Luis Enrique as the new head coach of the Spanish national team.

The former FC Barcelona gaffer has signed a two-year contract according to RFEF President Luis Rubiales. “I would like to point out that Luis Enrique wanted to be Head Coach and wants to lead the National Team the next two years,” Rubiales told.

The decision to appoint Enrique was taken during a Board of Directors meeting earlier today. The new head coach will be officially presented next week.
