Electric Veng FC seal their place in the last four of the LG Independence Cup

New top-flight team Electric Veng FC have distinguished themselves as the first team to reach the last four of the LG Independence Cup by beating Bethlehem Vengthlang FC 2-1 last night.

Having earned precious points against Chanmari FC and Ramhlun North FC after upsetting Aizawl FC in their first match, Electric Veng FC have earned 8 points after their completing their group fixture.

A first half strike from Vanlalremsanga and a second half goal from David Lalchhuanawma were enough to seal qualification in the knockout rounds for EFC. Bethlehem Vengthlang FC did find the net late on when Lalruatkima struck on the 84th minute but adding another in four minutes was always unlikely against a determind EFC backline.
