India U-16 score late to upset Iraq U-16 in WAFF U-16 Championship

The India U-16 National Team defeated current AFC U-16 Championship winners Iraq by a solitary goal in the WAFF U-16 Championship in Amman, Jordan on Sunday, August 5 evening.

Bhuvenesh headed in the lone goal and match-winner in the second half added time. The Indians were dominant all throughout and could have won by a bigger margin but for some agile goalkeeping from the Iraqi custodian.

It is a massive win for the Indian boys and will surely give them a big boast ahead of the 2018 AFC U-16 Championships in September/October in Malaysia.
