Mohammedan Sporting TD Raghu Nandi looks for response

Mohammedan Sporting Club technical director Raghu Nandi said that he will be looking for a response from his charges following a 0-1 defeat in the hands of Aryan Club at a packed Barasat Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Black Panthers faithful came out in numbers but watched their side losing 0-1 as Nigerian striker Ejiogu Chinedu Emmanuel scored the only goal.

Nandi speaking after the game said, “Aryan played much better technically and also were tactically correct on the evening.”

“They always looked dangerous every time they had the ball and eventually scored after we had missed a couple of chances. Each time we got the ball we lost it, and they were faster on transitions. When we regained possession, we were not as swift or as quick.”

Mohammedan Sporting will have no time to recover as they face Rainbow Athletic Club in their next Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ fixture on Saturday.

“We just need to go back and re-think what happened today. I believe in the group and I know that they will pick themselves up and respond from this defeat,” concluded Nandi.
